Hidden Metroid Prime 3 Radio Message

I found this message while playing around with the radio in Samus’s ship in Metroid Prime 3. The signal code is the one you use in the beginning.I think this is a recording of Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s president. I don’t understand Japanese so if someone could translate it for me I’d much appreciate it.

Thanks to the interwebs (especially GoNintendo, Youtube, and the Nintendo Forums) a friendly anonymous fellow has translated the message. GoNintendo user Jammer did this translation:
“Hello, this is Iwata from Nintendo. You may not know from an outsiders point of view, but being a director is really hard! When things are really busy and stressful we (us directors) may look tired and sick, then people may feel sorry for us! But in my case, it’s the opposite, I get fatter and fatter, so then people don’t think I’m stressed at all!”

That’s a pretty good and interesting find. I don’t know what he’s saying, either… so your guess is as good as mine. Could someone translate, please?

I don’t even think Samus knew what he said

A translation is needed - we must know!!! It could be the secret to the universe… or even better: a confirmation of Dread’s existance - as if the quote “Project Dread is nearing completion…” wasn’t enough…

Woops sry I didn’t meant to add that “wa” in

The correct spelling is: “Konnichi wa”

And it is solved - incredible. The interwebs are soo fast it’s almost hard to believe. One minute it is dicovered - and not long after, several sites picked up on it - and someone translated it not too long after.

I like the message. Now we know why Miyamoto is making Wii Fit… to keep Iwata thin soo that we don’t know when he’s stressing out over big, secret projects. Interesting way to keep that little hint at big happenings, from being noticed by the gaming masses. :D

Um….why was that even in the game anyway?

Ever heard of an easter egg Max? If your first thought was of a holiday where Jesus pulls a Neo than the answer is probably not… I’m glad to see this was in there, hopefully he left something else around that hints at the next metroid series…

The translation given is correct. There is another one, too. When in Samus’ ship, go to the radio and press the following symbols: Going from left to right, press the eighth symbol, the third symbol, the fifth symbol and then the fourth symbol.
You will then hear a message from Mr. Miyamoto!
    A rough translation:
Ah, can you hear me? This is Miyamoto.
All of you playing Metroid, can you hear me?
    It’s fun, isn’t it?
I’ve also worked on many [Metroid] games, but this one is the best yet, don’t you think?
Definitely play it all the way to the end.
    See you!

We’ve discovered another one, going from left to right; button 3, button 6, button 4, button 8. First there was a guitar playing then later on a voice in Japanese. If anyone can translate it for us that would be great.

On the first day I played the game.
