Daniel’s Wii Remote Demos and SDK

Daniel Gump at HullBreachOnline has created and continues to work on a really cool Wii Opera Browser SDK. Even if you have no idea what an SDK is you should still check out his neat demos.

Note: These demo will only work with the Wii Opera Browser, and only with the full version. So turn on that Wii and click these links!

His SDK has the ability to sense the remote distance to the senor bar + the Z-Axis roll, not just for the first controller, but for all 4 as well. As of right now button presses, all except the home button, can be used by first player and he’s working on getting them to work on the other controllers as well, opening up the potential for simultaneous multiplayer games. It also has some ability to make 3D applications. Nothing high-end, but impressive none the less.

He’s currently looking for people to use the SDK so there can potentially be some games and other software developed. You will need to contact Daniel directly to get the SDK. Which I’m sure he’d be more than happy to help you out with.

Thanks to Daniel letting us talk to him and post on his project! We hope to see good stuff come out of this.

    Hey, everyone!

The Wii Opera SDK has matured to the point that I’m now seeking team members to work on upcoming projects. If you are interested, shoot me an email to the address in the article. Thanks!

Wow – I checked out those demo’s using the Wii – and I’m very impressed. Very good examples BTW – they give you a good idea of what’s possible on the Wii Opera Browser. If I had more time on my hands, I’d love to get involved with the SDK and get a feel for it.
