Ubisoft’s RedSteel for Wii has some problems. It’s usually nothing major and what I show in this video isn’t really either. You’re not say, constantly falling through the level. At least, I havn’t done that so far. But anyways, this thing resulted from a physics glitch, you know how I love those!

YMCA, Ragdoll Edition

At first I couldn’t decide if I should put this in a video I plan on uploading in the near future along with a review of the game. In the end I came to the conclusion that this is good enough to stand by itself and that it was too big to ‘fit’ in with everything else as a whole. I swear, there should be a whole game based around trying to cause physics engine glitches. I mean it is the next lead in gaming.

Today a new game became available for download via the Wii Virtual Console service. This is the first update to the list since it launched about a week and a half ago. The new title?

A TurboGrafx 16 game called “Super Star Soldier”, a verticle top down space shooter made by Hudson Soft. The game costs 600 VC Points ($6.00) to download and can be played with the Wii Remote, Classic Controller, or a GameCube controller.

Hopefully we will continue to see a steady stream of feature and content updates for Wii and the Virtual Console. I want to be able to spin the globe in the Forecast Channel for no apparent reason. Perhaps it has something to do with my obsession of world domination… hmmm.

So whats coming next? Could it be? … ZERO WING?! …. Make your time people, make your time.

*Update*: Ecco the Dolphin and Golden Axe for Sega Genesis have also been added to the list.

Woah! There wasn’t a full update yesterday? What in tarnation?! I wonder what could have caused such a thing! … It’s because there’s a Wii and a copy of Zelda sitting about 10 feet from where I write these things..

It calls… with a reverberating voice reminiscent of that of Reggies. “Alex”, it says ” I know you want to go Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii”. I turn, look at that glowing disk slot, notice there’s a message for me to read and say, “I know Reggie, I know… but Reggie, I need to update Bomb-Omb!”. With a smooth pulse of the disk drive is how Reggie demonstrates his dominance. “Enough of that! You can do that later WHEN I’M DONE WITH YOU!” Reggie blares. I clutch the Wiimote tighter uncontrollably, “Yes! You’re right Reggie! You’re always right! Later! I can do it later!” and so the game continues.

By the way, as much as I still love the Red Steel advertising, I think the game needs some fixing. Ubisoft, make it happen. I’ll explain more later. In the meantime, rent it or borrow it to check it out.
Expect to see some neato video features on the Wii soon. Also expect some non-typical ones. I hardly do this stuff till the last minute so here’s your chance to influence my tiny mind!
